1999 - Ongoing
An ongoing series of colour portraits documenting the social fabric of villages in Hampshire, photographing rural events including fêtes, Halloween festivities, Guy Falkes night and the village play.
Originally inspired by at the photographs made by Sir Benjamin Stone as he travelled around Britain recording customs and festivals in the 1900s, these new photographs observe how extraordinary the ritual of life in the countryside is.
Currently 72 images in the whole series.
